With a free account, you have access to all our core features, including five Pro Searches per day, three file uploads, Collections, Threads, and Discover. These features are designed to enhance your experience and productivity.

Creating an account

The simplest way to create an account is by logging in with your Apple or Google account. This provides an easy and secure way to access Perplexity long term.

Alternatively, you can sign up using your email address. After signing up, a login link will be sent to your email, which will direct you to Perplexity securely.

Account security and management

Can I create a password for my account?

Currently, we do not support the creation of passwords. If you do not sign up with a Google or Apple account, you can log in using the secure link verification process sent to your email.

Can I change the email address associated with my account?

No, once an email address is registered with an account, it cannot be changed.

If you lose access to your email or need to change it for security reasons, contact support to request account deletion.

Is it possible to transfer data between accounts?

No, transferring data between accounts is not supported.

Can I transfer my Pro subscription to another account?

Pro Subscriptions purchased on the web can be transferred, but those bought via mobile cannot. If you need to transfer a web-purchased subscription, please contact us for assistance.

Account usage

Can I share my account with someone else?

Sharing your account is strongly discouraged due to privacy and security concerns. It also violates our Terms of Use, risking account suspension or termination. You are responsible for all activities on your account.

To protect your information, do not share your account.

Is a VPN compatible with Perplexity?

Using a VPN with Perplexity is not recommended, as it may trigger frequent security checks by Cloudflare and potentially render the mobile app unusable.
